A huge congratulations to Bridget Stevenson! Bridget has successfully completed her final review on the Housing Apprenticeship Level 2! We caught up with Bridget to hear about her apprenticeship experience:
Why did you choose an Apprenticeship in Housing?
“I wanted to gain a better insight into all aspects of the housing sector and lay a strong foundation for my career in Housing.”
How did the apprenticeship work?
“It was an 18-month course with online lectures, knowledge-based assignments, presentations, work observations, and case studies.”
What’s the best thing about learning while working?
“I could immediately apply the knowledge from my lectures to my job. The coursework was tailored to my role, making it relevant and interesting.”
How has this helped your career?
“I’m moving to a new role within North Wales Housing, and this qualification will support my progress in my new position and future career.”

What attracted you to becoming an apprentice?
“I saw it as a fantastic opportunity to advance my career.”
How does your apprenticeship work?
“I attend college once a week and spend the rest working alongside different engineers, gaining practical experience every day.”

“I learn best by doing, and the hands-on approach keeps me engaged. Every day is different at North Wales Housing.”
Career goals after your apprenticeship?
“I hope to secure a full-time position here. The supportive environment and learning opportunities make it a great place to work.”

“I love the variety! Every day brings something new, keeping me motivated and excited.”
How does your apprenticeship work?
“I attend college weekly and spend the rest of the time learning on the job across multiple trades.”
Best part of learning on the job?
“The hands-on experience! I’m also keen to further develop my locksmithing skills.”

“I aim to secure a full-time role at North Wales Housing and continue growing within the team.”

“I wanted to learn new skills not only for work but also for life. North Wales Housing has helped me gain confidence and improve my social skills.”
How does your apprenticeship work?
“I attend a carpentry and joinery course once a week and work full-time the rest of the week, allowing me to apply what I learn in real-life scenarios.”
Best thing about learning while working?
“I’m learning new skills every day, many of which are useful outside of work as well.”

“I hope to continue my journey at North Wales Housing, with the potential for career progression in the future.”
